« Our Daily Performance » consiste nella trasposizione in testo teatrale di molteplici ‘tutorial’, un fenomeno virale del web : persone da tutto il mondo rendono pubblici i loro ‘life hacks’, letteralmente strategie di sopravvivenza per rendere più semplici azioni quotidiane riducendone i tempi. Nello spettacolo si passa dunque in rassegna un catalogo di tutorial senza mai fermarsi, collegando l’ultima azione, movimento o parola al tutorial successivo. La performance viene inoltre arricchita dalla spiccata ilarità degli attori che, tramite espressioni marcate del viso e l’uso simpatico della parola, fa carpire al pubblico l’origine autoironica dei tutorial più disparati. Sfortunatamente, lo spettacolo era in francese e parti del testo vennero tradotte in fiammingo, proiettandone la traduzione sull’ampio muro scuro dietro il palco. Uno dei creatori della performance, Giuseppe Chico, ci raggiunse dopo lo spettacolo poiché, essendo lui italiano, era curioso di sapere cosa fossimo riusciti a comprendere. Nel complesso, la performance era ben strutturata e molto divertente : il passaggio da un tutorial all’altro era ben pensato e gli attori più che adatti ad interpretare colui o colei che avrebbe trasmesso la propria strategia di sopravvivenza. Come anche Chico ci disse, la parola era pressoché fondamentale nella performance, infatti attendiamo con ansia la traduzione inglese che si preoccupo’ subito di farci recapitare, ma nonostante la differenza della lingua e le incoprensioni causate da essa, la bravura degli attori e il notevole processo di creazione della performance non passarono certo inosservati.

« Our Daily Performance » is a script of multiple ‘tutorials’, a viral phenomenon of the internet : people from all around the world make public their ‘life hacks’ or survival strategies to make daily actions easier and faster. In the show, a catalogue of tutorials is therefore reinterpreted without stopping from one to another, by linking the last action, movement or word to the next one.
The performance is also enriched by the strong hilarity of the actors who, through facial expression and the funny use of words, make the audience understand the self-ironical origin of the most various amount of tutorial on the web. Unfortunately, the show was in French and only translated in Dutch (and not in English) by projecting the whole translation upon the big wall behind the stage. One of the two creators, Giuseppe Chico, joined us after the show because, since he is Italian, he was curious about what we could understand.
All in all, the performance was well structured and very funny : the passage between one tutorial and the other was well thought and the actors were well suited to interpret the YouTubers who teach their survival strategies in online tutorials. Despite the language difference and the misunderstandings caused by this, the skills of the actors and the remarkable process of the making of the performance are not unnoticed.
