A story that sticks

Yesterday, we went to Mourn Baby Mourn, a dance and music performance made by Katherine Andreou. 

We wanted to know how the other viewers felt about the show, how they would describe it, so we organized something to get the opinion of the spectators. 

Before the performance we gave everyone a post-it note and a pen, we asked them to write only one word during or after the show on the post-it note about how they would describe this performance. 

After the show, we collected all the post-its and we stuck them next to each other on the table so that we have a nice overview of all the different words.

It is very striking to see that every post-it has a different word. Everyone had a different feeling or opinion about the show.

We also had a small talk after the show with Katherine. She answered the questions that some people of the audience asked.

Hello everybody, we have decided to take you along on our daily TeeNEXTers journey! 

Artistic warm-up

We got up at around 8am and we had breakfast, then we brushed our teeth and got ready to go to Le Grand Bleu. We rode the metro and arrived at Le Grand Bleu around 10am.

We did an artistic warm-up. ‘Jeremie, one of the teenexters, wrote a very good poem’, said Han from Belgium. ‘It was different than just a regular warm-up, we did a lot of cool things, like creative writing but also playing games’, said Genesi from Italy. After the warm-up, we did a workshop where we brainstormed about the shows we will see this evening and then we had lunch. Some of us went for a walk after that, while the others stayed in the building to study or to rest.

Starting the editing work

‘The days are quite busy, so having an hour to ourselves is great !’, said Milane from France. After this break, we started the editing work: three groups for three projects. Tonight we will be separated again: some of us will go to see the show « The making of Berlin » in Waregem, while the others will go to see « Mourn Baby Mourn » in Valenciennes.

La fonte des glaces par « Ricochets »

Les samedi 21 mai et dimanche 22 mai 2022 ont eu lieu – au sein du théâtre du Grand Bleu et sur les abords de la Deûle – plusieurs représentations en lien avec la thématique centrale du festival Lille 3000 : l’utopie. Parmi ces pièces, Ricochets est une œuvre jouée en extérieur d’une durée approximative de 30 minutes, écrite par Sylvain Levey et mise en scène par Aude Denis, avec la coparticipation de Solo Gomez. Cette pièce, adressée avant tout à un jeune public, raconte avec humour et émotion les pérégrinations d’une jeune ourse polaire contrainte de s’adapter aux dérèglements climatiques. Avec très peu d’objets et un cadre de jeu limité, les comédiennes parviennent pour autant à représenter avec beaucoup de réalisme et simplicité l’aggravation de la fonte des glaces. Découvrir par le toucher l’Histoire(s) de France

Dans le cadre du festival Youth is Great, le Grand Bleu a accueilli une représentation en audiodescription du spectacle Histoire(s) de France, pour les spectateurs malvoyants. En complément de ce dispositif, une visite tactile du décor était proposée au public. Le labo médias y était !
